One of the truly nice things about glass blowing is the community one can find there. This show brings together the work of new and old friends, celebrating a shared joy in the medium of glass.
Watch glass blowers at play. Found items will be used as forms for experiments with molten glass. A collection of natural and man-made materials will be employed: Cedar strips, driftwood, a semi-truck shock coil---whatever the glass blowers find inspiring.
Refract is the nation’s newest festival showcasing creative uses of glass in the Pacific Northwest. Hosted by Chihuly Garden and Glass in partnership with Visit Seattle, this event brings together art organizations and artists alike to showcase what makes our glass community so special.
