Open Artist Studio: Kait Rhoads Studio

Kait Rhoads is best known for her innovative use of Venetian blown-glass techniques, which she has applied to sculpture, limited-edition jewelry, and public art to engage the community with ocean ecology. Kait received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1993, an MFA from Alfred University in 2001, and a Fulbright grant to study sculpture in Murano, Italy. Her work is in museums worldwide, and her public artworks are in the collections of Highline College in Des Moines, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, Tacoma, the Port of Seattle, and the Seattle Convention Center.
