Carol Milne knits glass. Although she’d like to say she knits with molten glass, alas, her work is cast, using the lost wax casting process. The process involves wax working (knitting, pouring, and soldering), moldmaking using plaster and refractories, a kiln, dental tools, and coldworking. Her most recent work incorporates LED lights to create illuminated sculptures. For a preview of what you might see, check out her YouTube channel.
