Utilizing his exceptional knowledge of Venetian techniques, Cozza’s work explores the optical qualities of glass by manipulating color, texture and form. This newest solo exhibition will showcase new work that demonstrates his skillful use of reticello, cane work and murrine.
Artist Bio: Mikey Cozza’s work is process driven, achieving intricacy with lines and patterns as he explores the material. He strives to capture this precision and beauty in nature, reproducing and preserving the movement of life.
Cozza has worked with a number of local artists including, Dante Marioni and Janusz Pozniak. He has been a student at Pratt Fine Arts Center, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Pilchuck Glass School.
