Guided Tour of The Boathouse

The Boathouse is the private working studio and hotshop of artist Dale Chihuly. Acquired in 1989, The Boathouse is representative of Chihuly’s artistic and design aesthetic, showcasing work from the artist’s iconic series, as well as his personal collections of art and unique objects. The Hotshop is one of the largest in the world and is the primary space where Chihuly and his team of glassblowers create works in glass for exhibitions and installations around the world. Located on the shores of Lake Union in Seattle, Washington, The Boathouse offers a singular behind-the-scenes look at the life and work of Dale Chihuly.
