Bainbridge Island
Pop on a ferry from downtown Seattle to explore more glass focused exhibitions and public demonstrations on Bainbridge Island. Check out the itinerary below.
Stop 1: View Art
Visit the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) to see the Pratt Fine Arts Center @ 50 exhibition. Pratt serves as a creative hub for artists of all ages and abilities, year-round, with affordable classes and studios. It provides access to diverse media including glass; sculpture in metal, stone, wood, and mixed-media; jewelry art; paper and felt-making; and a variety of 2D media including drawing, painting, and printmaking. Featured artists include former and current students, instructors, board members, and staff. 10am-5pm. Free. Pratt Fine Arts Center @ 50 – Bainbridge Island Museum of Art
Drive or hop in a taxi to Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN), located just outside downtown.
Stop 2: Watch Glassmaking Demonstrations
Join the BARN team in the studio for 4 sessions of demonstrations by artists and makers extraordinaire, featuring Torchwork, Stained Glass, Mosaics, and Fused Glass.
