Two Tone Studios ♿
Visitors can expect a private working glassblowing studio and showroom, located in West Seattle. Hand-blown glass tableware, decorative objects, and sculptural work will be on display.
Two Tone Studios creates contemporary-designed hand-blown glass objects with a nod to the past. Each unique design is handcrafted by husband and wife team Boyd Sugiki and Lisa Zerkowitz, who met as graduate students at the Rhode Island School of Design. The work they create includes decorative objects and tabletop items such as drinkware, bowls, vases, cake stands, and covered dishes.
Sayuri Fukuda was born in Ibaraki, Japan, and studied Glass Art and Craft at Joshibi University of Art & Design in Tokyo. For her, the joy of creation is about combining beauty with function, as well as incorporating expressions from nature and understanding the characteristics of the material — all a dance, a movement, a flow of form. She moved to Seattle thirteen years ago, where she makes her work, assists other local artists with their work, and does research & development for glassybaby.
